Tours and Tickets

Visiting the Capitol and White House serve as the pinnacle of every trip to D.C. – from school visits to family vacations. My office is always available to assist with scheduling your visit, and my staff would be happy to give you a personal tour!

All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Please let us know as early as possible to maximize your chances. Please also note that House rules permit us to only serving constituents in Tennessee’s first district.

Here is the process for requesting tickets through my office:

Capitol Tours:

Capitol tours run Monday through Saturday, 9:00AM – 3:00PM.

Please email tours.harshbarger@mail.house.gov with your requested dates, times, and party size. My staff also offers floor tours and gallery tours to TN-01 constituents. If my staff is unable to secure tour tickets for you, I would love to visit with you in my office, if my voting and committee work schedule permit. Please inform my staff if you would like to do this, and they will let you know if that is possible.

White House Tours:

White House Tours run Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30AM - 12:00PM.  Times are assigned by the White House upon confirmation.

Please email tours.harshbarger@mail.house.gov with your requested dates and party size. For security screening purposes, the White House requires a minimum of 25 days' notice. Please note that beyond submitting your information, all processing is done internally by the White House. Due to extremely high volumes of requests, a confirmation or denial usually arrives 1-2 weeks prior to your requested dates.

FBI Experience Tours:

The FBI Experience is a self-guided tour at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Open to the public, the tour features interactive multimedia exhibits, content, and artifacts—including a number of items from notable cases on display for the very first time—that help illustrate the importance of the Bureau’s work to protect the nation." Tours must be booked through your congressional office.  Tours can be scheduled by emailing tours.harshbarger@mail.house.gov. These can be scheduled no less than 4 weeks out due to the security screening process.  Individuals must submit their birthdate and Social Security Number for the security process.  Social Security Numbers are not required for children under the age of 16.  The tours are limited to 30 people per tour at this time.
