Internships

Internship Program

My staff and I value the opportunity to host student interns in any of our three congressional offices located in Kingsport, Morristown, and Washington, D.C. for an interactive and hands-on learning experience on government and legislative processes as well as constituent services. We are now accepting applications for our 2024 fall program.

Ideal applicants are conservative minded and are recent high school graduates, college students or those participating in graduate studies. Our flexible program caters to students by offering both part-time and full-time opportunities as well as a rolling start and completion date. Since office space is limited, applicants from the First Congressional District or with Tennessee state ties will be given preferential consideration. However, all interested students are welcome to apply.

Our office also offers apprenticeships that may serve as an entry point for participants interested in a career in government service. Ideal candidates are high school graduates or those who have earned a General Education Development (GED) and are not currently students. For more information on this program, please contact my office.

To apply for a student internship in one of our offices, please complete and submit the form below.
