WASHINGTON (WJHL) — Rep. Diana Harshbarger recently returned to Washington following a trip to the US-Mexico border in McAllen, Texas.
She accompanied fellow Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz who represents that area.
Harshbarger said supporting Border Patrol agents and focusing on their needs was a big theme of the trip.

Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Tenn. and U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, re-introduced the Immediate Access for the Terminally Ill Act, which would remove the burdensome waiting period for terminally ill patients’ access to their Social Security Disability Insurance program benefits.

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger introduced the bipartisan Seniors' Access to Critical Medications Act last week.
The bill would make permanent a waiver issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that allowed for Medicare patients to receive critical medications by mail, or allow for caregivers and family members to obtain medications for them.

Heritage Hall saw a packed crowd as community members came out to honor their mentor and friend, Johnson County Community Center Director Flo Bellamy. Bellamy was awarded the highest honor of a Congressional Record. In attendance to present the award was Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger.

Relating to a member of Congress may seem a bit far-fetched to some, since his or her work life in the nation’s capital is literally far-removed from the average constituent’s 9 to 5 experience.
U.S. Rep. Diana Harshbarger used her 36 years of experience as a pharmacist in the state to relate to the group of Women in Business gathered at Morristown Landing on Friday.
