Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger helped introduced the Preserve Geographic Names Act, which will dissolve the Board on Geographic Names at the Department of the Interior (DOI).
The bill, which was introduced last week, was in response to their recent focus of renaming geographic landmarks across the country that they deem “offensive” or “insensitive”.
The Board on Geographic Names is part of the U.S. Geographical Survey at the DOI and is charged with coordinating uniform names for geographical landmarks and elements across the country, including unincorporated towns.

"There is a two-tiered system of justice in the country," Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Tenn., said Friday in response to the Justice Department's decision on Thursday not to pursue charges against President Joe Biden in his handling of classifed documents.

Republican Tennessee Rep. Diana Harshbarger and Democratic California Rep. Juan Vargas will introduce legislation Wednesday that would establish a U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Abraham Accords bureau to protect U.S. pharmaceutical supply chains and end reliance on countries like China.

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger visited Rogersville last week to update the community on her work in Washington D.C. including proposed bills for lower energy cost and border security.
The event, which was held at the Rogersville American Legion Post 21, also included special ceremony of appreciation for local veterans who received a pin and a certificate from Harshbarger.
“People are concerned about Washington,” Harshbarger said. “And they need help with personal issues too. I get emails all the time. This office will help you. But I don’t know if you don’t ask me.”

Tennessee’s 1st District U.S. House Rep. Diana Harshbarger paid a visit to some local veterans Friday morning during a stop at Morning Point Senior Living in Greeneville.
Those recognized at Morning Pointe on Friday included World War II, Cold War and Vietnam veterans who served in the Army, Army Air Corps and Navy.
Each veteran was given a special certificate and commemorative coin as they were thanked for their service by the congresswoman.
Those recognized Friday were Frank Parker, James “Mack” Hughes, Russ Poehlman, Michael Frieary and Al Smith.

First District U.S. Rp. Diana Harshbarger’s (R-Kingsport) priorities should, she be elected to a third term in the U.S. House of Representatives, are to close the Southern border and get the economy back to roaring again.
Harshbarger was participating in a “Coffee with the Congresswoman” event at the American Legion Post in Rogersville. She participated in a media availability conducted after Thursday’s event.

ROGERSVILLE — The Rogersville/Hawkins County Chamber of Commerce announced and recognized the 2023 youth and adult Governor’s Volunteer Star Award winners on Thursday.
The GVSA is presented to the county’s best youth and adult volunteers each year. They are then recognized at a ceremony in Nashville. The winners are picked from nominations by the community.
The chamber recognized both winners at its monthly breakfast. Normally, each winner is presented with a plaque, but they were unable to get them in time, so they will be given to the winners at a later date.

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger recently reintroduced the No Taxpayer Dollars for Communist China COVID Tests Act, which would prohibit the use of federal funds to purchase COVID-19 test kits from companies affiliated with Communist China.
Harshbarger is joined by Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) in support of this legislation, who is leading the charge in the Senate.
Earlier this year, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that it would purchase $600 million in COVID-19 test kits from 12 companies, with the implication that all 12 companies were American.
