Tours and Tickets

Visiting the Capitol and White House serve as the pinnacle of every trip to D.C. – from school visits to family vacations. My office is available to assist with scheduling your visit, and my staff would be happy to give you a personal tour!
All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Please let us know as early as possible to maximize your chances. Please also note that House rules permit us to only serving constituents in Tennessee’s first district.
Here is the process for requesting tickets through my office:
Capitol Tours:
Capitol tours are available Monday through Saturday, 9:00AM – 3:00PM.
Please email tours.harshbarger@mail.house.gov with your requested dates, times, and party size. My staff also offers floor tours to TN-01 constituents on weekdays pending the House floor schedule. TN-01 constituents may also request gallery passes through my office. Please note: galleries are open Monday - Friday. If my staff is unable to secure tour tickets for you, I would love to visit with you in my office, if my voting and committee work schedule permit. Please inform my staff if you would like to do this, and they will let you know if that is possible.
White House Tours:
Public tours are typically available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday - Thursday and Friday – Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted. Tour slots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Tour schedules may change at any time, with little notice, due to inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, even after your tour is confirmed.
Public White House tours must be booked at least 7 days in advance and no more than 90 days in advance of the tour date and time.
Requests may be made submitted to my office by emailing tours.harshbarger@mail.house.gov. When submitting requests, please provide the following information:
- Point of Contact name
- Email address
- Dates
- Times
- Number of people in your party
Once requests are submitted, an RSVP link from the White House will be sent to requesters from the White House. Please be sure to check your spam folder for email. The RSVP deadline is auto-generated to be exactly 72 hours to the minute after the tour request was submitted. If guests do not RSVP by the deadline, the link will close and cannot be re-opened. All guests regardless of age (to include infants, toddlers, and minors) must RSVP before each tour request RSVP deadline.
Effective May 7, 2025, U.S. citizens must present a REAL ID or passport to access the White House Complex. Non-REAL IDs will no longer be accepted for any guests. For more information about REAL ID, please see here.
PLEASE NOTE: submitted requests do not guarantee that your tour will be confirmed. Confirmations are being sent about 5 business days following the completion of the RSVP link.
