Bristol, Tennessee facility anchors U.S. supply-chain resilience

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (TN-01) today congratulated USAntibiotics, McKesson, and Walmart on a new collaboration that will expand U.S.-based production and distribution of amoxicillin, one of the nation’s most widely prescribed antibiotics. The effort is anchored at USAntibiotics’ world-class manufacturing facility in Bristol, Tennessee and is designed to ensure stable, domestically produced supplies for patients nationwide.

“This is a big win for Northeast Tennessee and America’s health security. By producing essential medicines at home in Bristol, we’re protecting patients, strengthening our supply chain, and supporting high-quality jobs. This partnership not only delivers modern U.S. production and a reliable pipeline of lifesaving medicines, but it’s directly in line with President Trump’s agenda to bring manufacturing back to America and with that, stronger economic and national security. Our workforce is second to none, and I look forward to working to keep supplies strong, prices fair, and to advocate that medications be made right here in the U.S.A.” – Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger

Under the collaboration, USAntibiotics will supply millions of doses of amoxicillin to Walmart and McKesson for distribution across the country through their joint venture partner ClarusONE Sourcing Services. USAntibiotics’ 394,000-square-foot facility in Bristol has the capacity to produce enough amoxicillin products to meet 100 percent of national demand, a key milestone in rebuilding U.S. capacity for essential medicines and directly in line with President Trump’s Made in America agenda.

Why it matters:

  • Local impact: Cements Northeast Tennessee as a national hub for essential-medicine manufacturing and distribution.
  • Patient access: Domestically made amoxicillin will help stabilize supplies and improve access for families in every corner of the country.
  • Supply-chain resilience: Partnering with one of the nation’s largest pharmacy networks and a coast-to-coast distributor strengthens America’s ability to withstand global disruptions.
  • Made-in-America momentum: The collaboration aligns with long-standing private-sector commitments to invest in U.S. manufacturing and American jobs under President Trump’s Made in America agenda.
