New bipartisan legislation could establish long-needed ADAS calibration guidance for modified
Reps. Diana Harshbarger (TN-District 1), Randy Weber (TX-District 14), and Scott Perry (PA-District 10) have introduced a bill that would require automakers to provide vehicle owners with access and control of their vehicle data.
A bipartisan bill recently reintroduced in congress could reshape pharmacy reimbursements across the nation.
The legislation is filed around PBMs or Pharmacy Benefit Managers - these are the middlemen within the prescription drug supply chain. PBMs essentially negotiate pricing with drug manufacturers and secure reimbursements for pharmacies.
Lawmakers and healthcare leaders say, for years, these PBMs have been driving up drug costs and gouging community pharmacists.
The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) welcomed the introduction of the ADAS Functionality & Integrity Act (H.B. 6688) in the U.S. House, led by Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Tenn., with co-sponsors Rep. Gabe Vasquez, D-N.M., Rep. Jay Obernolte, R-Calif., and Rep. Norma Torres, D-Calif. The bill would require federal guidelines that support proper calibration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) when vehicles are modified.
