ROGERSVILLE — The Rogersville/Hawkins County Chamber of Commerce announced and recognized the 2023 youth and adult Governor’s Volunteer Star Award winners on Thursday.
The GVSA is presented to the county’s best youth and adult volunteers each year. They are then recognized at a ceremony in Nashville. The winners are picked from nominations by the community.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (TN-01) will host a 'Conversations With Your Congresswoman' event in Rogersville to share updates from Washington, give information on ways her office can help constituents with federal agency-related issues, and answer questions from attendees.

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger recently reintroduced the No Taxpayer Dollars for Communist China COVID Tests Act, which would prohibit the use of federal funds to purchase COVID-19 test kits from companies affiliated with Communist China.
Harshbarger is joined by Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) in support of this legislation, who is leading the charge in the Senate.

Last week, staff from the office of U.S. Representative Diana Harshbarger (TN-01) visited schools and libraries throughout East Tennessee, including Greeneville, to deliver books in partnership with the Library of Congress’ Surplus Books Program.
Book deliveries were also made to Morristown-Hamblen, Dandridge, Mosheim, and Greeneville public libraries.

Schools in Cocke County that received books were Northwest and Edgemont Elementary.

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (R-Tenn.) is advancing new efforts to prevent U.S. taxpayer spending on COVID-19 tests and other medical equipment from reaching China.
“We don’t want the Biden administration sending any more money to China, for COVID tests or anything else, for that matter,” Ms. Harshbarger told NTD’s “Capitol Report” on Thursday.
