Today, Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger introduced the Blocking Joseph Robinette Biden’s Overreaching Vaccine Mandates Act in the House of Representatives.

This bill prohibits the Federal Government from requiring private sector and Federal employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine against their will.

U.S. Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-1st, scored her first legislative win in the U.S. House on Wednesday with passage of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Contract and Reporting Act of 2021.

It is the first bill Harshbarger has ushered to passage as a primary sponsor. It now goes to the U.S. Senate.

The House has passed a bill by Rep. Diana Harshbarger to increase transparency within the Department of Homeland Security.

The Department of Homeland Security Contract and Reporting Act of 2021 marks the congresswoman’s first bill to pass the House since she assumed office in January.

Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Contract and Reporting Act of 2021, sponsored by Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger, passed the U.S. House of Representatives. This bill requires DHS to provide a public daily report of all DHS headquarters and component contract awards over $4 million dollars and will give Congress and the American people better insight and oversight into how DHS supports its mission.

Military Service Academy Day
September 28, 2021

U.S. Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Kingsport, held her first ever Military Service Academy Day Saturday with more than 100 students and parents participating.

The event was held for anyone in the First Congressional District who had interest in applying for one of the military service academies.

“This is my inaugural military academy day,” Harshbarger said.

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger announced last week she will be hosting four ceremonies in October across Tennessee’s First Congressional District to recognize and our honor our Vietnam veterans and their families for their sacrifice and distinguished service.

The Rogersville event is set for Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. at American Legion Post 21, 1924 E. Main St.

More ceremonies will come in the following months.
